Frederick | Ganderton consists of two partners, Michael Frederick and David Ganderton. In their over 28 years of legal experience, Michael and David have handled thousands of cases and conducted over 100 jury trials in the civil, criminal & DUI/ traffic areas.
In the civil arena, we have represented and litigated against some of the largest insurance companies in the nation. We have tried million-dollar cases on behalf of the plaintiff and the defendant insurance company, giving us a unique and advantageous perspective in representing your rights. Michael Frederick earned his Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Philosophy, Cum Laude, from Regis College (now Regis University) and his Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., completing specialized certificate programs in both Public Policy and International Law. Mr. Frederick was admitted to the Bar in the State of Maryland in 1996 and to the State of Colorado in 1997. Mr. Frederick initially practiced in civil and criminal litigation, concentrating on criminal appeals.
In 1999, Mr. Frederick began working as a Deputy District Attorney in Arapahoe County (18th Judicial District), prosecuting juvenile, misdemeanor, and traffic charges. After his promotion to felony prosecution in 2000, he continued as a prosecutor for over ten years, ending his tenure with the Arapahoe County District Attorney’s Office in 2010.
Since 2010, Mr. Frederick has practiced in civil litigation, primarily representing plaintiffs in personal injury and bad faith insurance cases and representing defendants in criminal cases ranging from felony to juvenile, misdemeanors, and traffic charges, including DUI’s.
Mr. Frederick has extensive trial experience as a felony prosecutor. He has expanded his litigation skills into the civil arena, with a strong emphasis on fighting for plaintiffs’ rights against the major insurance companies in personal injury and bad faith cases, in which the insurance companies have delayed or denied coverage by undervaluing or simply refusing to pay policyholders, resulting in trial verdicts of approximately two million dollars, as well as using his skills gained in over 10 years as a prosecutor to fight for defendants’ rights in criminal cases filed throughout the metro Denver area.
David Ganderton earned his Bachelor of Science with a major in Psychology and a minor in Criminology, Cum Laude, from Florida State University and his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Ganderton interned with the State Attorney’s Office of the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, handling misdemeanor traffic and juvenile cases.
In 2007, Mr. Ganderton was admitted to the Bar in Florida. Upon admission, Mr. Ganderton began working as a criminal prosecutor for the 12th Judicial Circuit of Florida. In 2009, Mr. Ganderton relocated to Colorado and began working as a Deputy District Attorney in the 18th Judicial District of Colorado. After a short time, Mr. Ganderton was promoted to a felony position and prosecuted felony crimes until 2011. Mr. Ganderton handled thousands of criminal cases as a prosecutor and gained invaluable trial experience.
With Mr. Ganderton’s extensive criminal trial experience, he expanded his litigation skills into the civil arena. Since 2011, while practicing in a large national and local insurance defense firm, Mr. Ganderton has litigated for and against some of the nation’s largest corporations and insurance companies. While practicing with these firms, he has handled various civil matters, including insurance bad faith claims, motor vehicle collisions, business litigation, contract disputes, property cases, and insurance coverage issues.
